Science of Synthesis Version 2.1 Release date: 16 November 2004. Two New Volumes
The new updated version of the product has now expanded encompassing the content of two further volumes: Volume 27 is the first Volume to be published in Category 4 of Science of Synthesis, Compounds with Two Carbon–Heteroatom Bonds, dealing with Heteroatom Analogues of Aldehydes and Ketones. Enhanced Text Search Logic The text search logic has been amended to discriminate between multiple word searching and searching for phrases by the use of quotation marks ("). A search for "allyl cation", for example, yields only hit documents, with the expression allyl cation in the text, while searching for allyl cation (without quotation marks) brings up an additional 25 documents where both terms (allyl and cation) are found, but have no logical connection. Electronic Backfile With the addition of the index volumes E23 a to p to the Electronic Backfile, every volume ever published in the Houben-Weyl series is now available in electronic format. Browsing between Science of Synthesis and Houben-Weyl is unrestricted and furthermore searching in Science of Synthesis also provides the relevant links to the Backfile. |
