Volume 7 Reception

To celebrate the recent publication of Volume 7, the Thieme Chemistry team will be holding a reception at the Nagoya Conference Centre on the occasion of the IUPAC ICOS-15 conference. Obituary Kenji Koga

	Professor Kenji Koga, Tokyo,
who served for five years as SYNTHESIS editor for Asia passed away on July 25th, 2004. He has been a leading scientist in our field Organic Chemistry over decades. We lost with him one of the pioneers of Asymmetric Synthesis. The quality of his research and his dedication and engagement in our science chemistry has always been a leading example for all of us. He will live on in our hearts.

New Volume Editor for Volume 32

We are delighted to announce that Professor Johann Mulzer has agreed to become a volume editor for the Science of Synthesis project. Professor Mulzer will be responsible for Volume 32 [X-Ene-X and Ene-O Compounds] which is to be published in 2007. He is based at the University of Vienna, Austria.
