RÖMPP Online is the largest and most renowned chemical encyclopedia published in German providing a unique and powerful information retrieval system for industry, academia and governmental authorities. It covers all aspects of chemistry and related fields, such as biotechnology, food chemistry, and environmental sciences. Since Hermann Römpp first published his encyclopedia in 1947 it has represented the scientific doctrines of the time.

Every entry in RÖMPP Online is written by experts in their field, thoroughly edited by our highly experienced editorial office and checked for relevance by our distinguished editorial board. With RÖMPP Online, available since 2002, we continue our tradition of providing only the most reliable and highly evaluated information in an up-to-date and user-friendly format. Our team consists of four full time employees and currently eleven freelance members. Our mother language is German, but most of us also speak English.
