Using ISIS/Draw or ChemDraw I have entered a stereochemical representation of a structure to use in a search query and I get no hits. Why?

A:

Due to the nature of the data contained in Pharmaceutical Substances it is not possible to search the database using stereospecific structures. Structures should be drawn without stereochemistry to allow all the possible hits to be presented. Unfortunately, Pharmaceutical Substances is not capable of translating 'up' and 'down' bonds into two dimensional bonds.
